What Is Free Domain Hosting?

What Is Free Domain Hosting?
If you want to publish your own personal website, there are ways in which you can do it for free. There are free domain hosting sites available for those who want to share themselves, their interests, and their passions with the world. Of course, the website won’t be the eye-popping, music-blaring, fireworks-blazing websites that many corporate display. Yet, this website will still be a fun, beautifully-designed creation of yours.
Free domain hosting is not available to businesses. Rather, it is more of a public service movement by online companies in an effort to spur interest in web. It’s a starter-kit for the amateur web designer. Different free domain hosting sites offer various hosting services.
The two most common ways to build a website are templates and from scratch. Templates help those who are not schooled in the basics of HTML coding, but still would like to publish a personal webpage. It allows you to choose from a pre-selected list of colors, schemes, layouts, etc… From there, you would upload your own text, graphics, and photographs. Designing a webpage from scratch is for those familiar with HTML coding. You can design the sight in any fashion you’d like. However, you are restricted from using very complex designs.
If you ever decide that free domain hosting does not allow for enough disk space or creative options, you can always upgrade to a paid service. Some providers of free domain hosting are Tripod, MSN Groups, iVillage, AOL Hometown, and Geocities.
